NO! Flushable wipes are not biodegradable, and even a couple can cause clogged drains and toilets. If your home has a septic system, you should be wary of flushing wipes or anything else that claims to be “septic safe.”
A few more points to consider:
Simple regular maintenance and proper disposal practices will ensure a long life for your septic system.
NO! Even if the the cat litter is advertising it is flushable, DON'T FLUSH it!
Cleaning out the litter box is never fun. If you like to watch out for the environment, the idea of throwing away plastic bags with clay-based litter in them every week might not suit you. Neither are biodegradable, after all, right? So, some owners turned to flushable kitty litter as a solution.
Adding cat litter, even organic or all-natural kitty litter like corn, pine or wood chips, into the septic system over time puts an undue overburden on the septic system.
Just because it is labeled flushable it shouldn't really be flushed. In fact, if you use flushable or any kind of kitty litter and put it down your drains, it can lead to serious septic system failure. Flushing kitty litter is never a good idea.
We do not recommend routing the backwash from your water softener into a Jet system or any other type of biological treatment system. The concentrated sodium chloride and other chemical compounds that are introduced into a Jet system while the softener is backwashing will kill off many of the beneficial bacteria that live in your treatment system. If it is at all possible, route the water softener backwash to an alternate drain line. However, we recommend that you check with your local health department before installing or altering existing drain lines.
Congratulations on the purchase of your JET system!

If your leach field is an I/A (innovative/alternative) system, it will require an O&M (operation & maintenance) contract as well. This is required by the DEP (Department of Environmental Protection), and your local Board of Health.
The leach field is not covered under our JET warranty (if you are still a JET under warranty) so there will be an additional charge for the required routine O&M service.
